Blu-Ray vs. HD-DVD, Take 2. Another challenger steps in...

So in the one corner, there's Blu-Ray, and in the other corner, HD-DVD, just like the VHS/Beta war 20 years ago. And hovering over the entire boxing ring, is something else entirely, something that could make the whole battle moot before either the Blu-Ray or HD-DVD products hit mainstream. What is it? Downloadable content. Every day, the pipes get wider, the applications get easier to use, and the distribution methods become more mainstream. Will your next movie player be merely a set-top internet connection?
